Remarks & Notes
CN 2853 is in charge of a northbound stack train as it crosses the Flambeau River and enters Ladysmith, WI. Ladysmith is the location where the former SOO Duluth-Chicago main crossed the Minneapolis-Sault Ste. Marie main. The former main is now a critical part of CN, while the latter has been partially renewed with sand traffic west of Ladysmith at Weyerheauser and Poskin, WI. That line operates as a dead end branch from Ladysmith.
