In 2021, the Rigibahnen (more precisely the Vitznau-Rigi-Bahn VRB) will celebrate 150 years of operation. The VRB was the first cogwheel mountain railway in Europe, built by Niklaus Riggenbach. To celebrate this anniversary, the steamlocomotive H 1/2 # 7, built in 1873 by the SLM Winterthur, will operate on the Rigibahnen again, like on this photo from 2009. In the moment, the locomotive is exhibited in the swiss museum of transport in Lucerne.
