Cagle's Farms bound CSX G263-20 (Casey,IL-Rockmart,GA) is creeping at 5mph over the Wauhatchie Yard lead bridge in Wildwood, GA slowing bring this crew to the end of it's journey from Nashville. Well this loaded grain train was a spectacle for everyone that was waiting for it to arrive, starting with the lead motor was suffering from mechanical issues. With no dynamic, and control over the throttle power on the lead locomotive, the confident skills of the engineer was put to the test as he relied on newtons first law of motion, and handy braking skills to get the train down the mountain. To make this story even interesting the third motor is offline for some unknown reason, and the second motor was the only one online to get the cripple train to the north-end. To top all of this excitement, the inbound crew was down less than 25 minutes before they go against the law. Per the Yard Master a Yard job crew was waiting for them to arrive on the north-end of the yard to swap with the inbound crew. When all of this was said and done, the loaded train would have another motor added on the lead. Just another typical CSX day on the Chattanooga Sub.
