Remarks & Notes
Making a running head start for Howardsville Mountain, Southern Power train NS 732 (Memphis,TN/BNSF-Juliette,GA) has knock down the absolute signal at Apison, TN (MP-19.4) and is working it's way south down the single track main on the NS Atlanta North-End. Running with 5 motor enough horse power to keep a train running on flat land the 3x2 motor consist was no match for gravity this day. As soon as the loaded train get over the grade, and into Northwest Georgia, 732 will have to come to a safe stop in the town of Varnell, GA. Per CT-Dispatcher a track gang is working ahead of the control-point, and the dispatcher had the coal bucket lined to diverge over to the main 2 track around the track gang, but until then, they will have to meet 2 north bound before continuing south on its journey to Plant Scherer.
