Remarks & Notes
About 11 miles north of Cartier, Straight Lake and the remote siding of Stralak are home only to a seasonal hunting lodge and are a flag-stop on Via Rail's Sudbury-White River passenger service, seen here. These are the only two RDC-4 "Budd Cars" on VIAs roster which run three trains a week on this route, much of which is inaccessible by road. Veteran #6250 was built way back in 1955 for Canadian Pacific.
