Norfolk Southern’s Executive train Nº 955 is easing across the Tennessee River after making the early morning run south from Burnside. The short deadhead move will get Brown to swap crews before continuing south for Atlanta, GA. Like any other time in the years 2014, it never crossed my mind that the company that took enormous pride in their executive fleet would eventually retire and sell off their f-units. In recent years the unthinkable did come to past. Under a new executive team at Norfolk Southern Corp, it was announced publicly that the quartet of F-units were to be sold due to the Precision Schedule Railroading practice. NS 270 and 275 were sold to the Reading & Northern. NS 271 and 276 were sold off to Aberdeen Carolina & Western Railway. Well, I guess I can say that "I'm Glad I Shot This!"
