| The UP local that makes the turn from Altoona to Chippewa Falls and back heads its train through Eau Claire approaching Yukon Junction where it will leave the Twin Cities main and head north on the former CNW main to Duluth-Superior. This fall sand business fell off substantially and today's train handles only five covered hoppers, destined for a plastics plant in Chippewa Falls. A far cry from the heavy unit sand trains that have dominated this line in recent years. |
