Cogwheel steamlocomotive HG 3/4 # 4, built in 1913 by the SLM for the Brigue-Furka-Disentis Railway (BFD), reached Gletsch with a passenger train from the Furka pass. On the right is HG 2/3 # 6 "Weisshorn", which gets new coal. In the background the "Blauhaus", former additional building of the Glacier du Rhone hotel. On the mountain slope the Belvedere hotel on the Furka pass road and the bed of the former Rhone glacier, which isn't visible anymore.
