Remarks & Notes
"Azuma" highspeed train 800 # 111 of the LNER (London North Eastern Railway) is leaving Edinburgh Waverley station as train 1E14 to London Kings Cross, entering the Calton north tunnel. Note the bird of prey, which lost its life at the cowcatcher of this 140 miles per hour train. The class 800 trains are built by Hitachi in the Newton Aycliffe works near Darlington.
