An arctic blast with a fast moving snow storm hit Chicago on the morning of November 11, 2019. Over 1200 flights were cancelled at the city’s airports, with one airliners sliding off the runway, but the railroads kept moving as evidenced by this ethanol train passing through Bensenville, Illinois, not far from O’Hare International Airport. This train was the U-DPKKCM7-06 while on the BNSF, traveling from Deer Park, Texas, to Kansas City, where it was handed off to the Canadian Pacific. The train then took the CP to Chicago, where it was interchanged to CSX Transportation to continue its journey.
