NS 994 (Atlanta,GA-Chattanooga,TN) is picking up the pace as it get the signal at Control-Point (CP) Hair (MP-40.1H) tp proceed north through downtown Dalton, GA. Another one of those image from the "I'm glad I shot this" collection, NS 994 had an GP38-2 HH on the helm leading three bigger and modern power, and a block of flat cars. The GP38-2 HH on NS at the time was becoming lesser in numbers on the active roster, as NS was chopping a few of the Geeps while the rest of them was being stored for a uncertain future. Today I can only wish to go back to the days when these locomotives was more prevalent throughout the system.
