Remarks & Notes
0-4-2 T cogwheel steamlocomotive HG 2/3 # 7 "Breithorn" of the Matterhorn-Gotthard-Bahn (MGB) with a short train from Oberwald to Gletsch above the Gletsch spiral tunnel. The locomotive was built in 1906 by SLM for the Visp-Zermatt-Bahn, which became the Brig-Visp-Zermatt (BVZ) later and is now part of the MGB. In 2001 the locomotive got a new boiler and was converted to burn light oil instead of coal by the DLM company. Since 2010 she was on loan to the Dampfbahn Furka Bergstrecke, and since 2018 she is owned by the DFB, but stabled in Gletsch til further notice. The coal fired sister HG 2/3 # 6 "Weisshorn" is used regularly by the DFB mainly for the "Gletscher train" from Realp to Gletsch and back.
