I’m sure that the days of warm meal preparation in the caboose was long past, but this would have been the perfect opportunity to get the head end crew fed. A Wisconsin Electric blended coal train is flood loading on the loop track at Federal #2 Mine on the Monongahela Railway. Power in four paint schemes (MGC, C&NW, B&O, CSX) leads the train, while a P&LE caboose adds to the variety.
