| There’s two side to a typical winter in the south. Blistering cold and sunny or warm and dreary. On this warm January morning, NS 64G with the Illinois Terminal Heritage Unit as the lead motor is easing the loaded key train down Howardsville grade on the outskirts of the town of Cohutta, GA. With it being a slow morning on the NS Atlanta North-End the unit train is lined up to Varnell, GA just north of Dalton waiting for CSX to clear up and give NS a light to cross the diamond in downtown Dalton.
