The RS-10 was a Montreal Locomotive Works product for which there was no ALCo equivalent. It had the 244 engine like the RS-3 but in a tall carbody to more easily fit a steam generator and dynamic brakes. On CPR roadswitchers a beaver shield on the nose indicated it was a steam generator equipped passenger unit. |
