A view to the station of Gletsch. On the right foreground the 2 track shed, where 3 steamlocomotives under pressure will stay during the night, another, the HG 2/3 # 7 "Breithorn" is stabled there cold. In the station visible are HG 4/4 # 704 with the four-axles-cars train (left) and the small HG 2/3 # 6 "Weisshorn" with the two-axles-cars train. Some photographers of the "Furka III" event are walking towards the station. On the slope behind the station and in the distance on the left is the Furka pass road. The track of the Furka mountain line, going up to Muttbach-Bélvedère with 11.0 % incline, is visible also. Behind the station building of Gletsch is the "Blauhaus", a former branch building of the famous Hotel "Glacier du Rhone", which is on the left outside the picture.
