Espee was no stranger to the Kansas City area, using ATSF and UP tracks east of KC and former Rock Island and MoPac tracks toward Tucumcari and Pueblo, respectively. The signal bridge says "Santa Fe" and this is a westbound using rights over the BNSF (nee AT&SF) as it approaches the terminal area. The 9333 was perhaps the cleanest SP unit on the roster at this point in time.
