Although the ending of this day didn't happen as we'd liked, we still decided to play the deck of cards we were given. It's not a regular thing when the KCS OCS ventures to Atlanta. The old saying of "anything that could go wrong did" pretty much happened with timing of weather conditions and traffic both on the railroad and the highways. Let's just say Atlanta area traffic for those who don't know is just utterly depressing no matter what you're doing, Thursday is the town's new Friday. As far as trying to pursue the subjects we're interested in, you can almost forget any plans of nailing that perfect shot multiple times on days where cloud cover outnumbers clear skies being the train is pretty much going to outrun you until PTC decides to take a dump of which you will never know when or where. Well, enough bitching I guess... In this parting view, NS 089 steps through downtown Bremen, Georgia without the wished upon sunlight that was being blocked by a building thunderstorm. This scene came during 089's journey back west after a delayed meet with 26A which had been thrown into "emergency" by PTC failures before getting to the siding. The day's companions left to right, Kyle Yunker, Stephanie (a local business owner and history provider), Chris Payne (after completing his mission of saving lives), Greg Ropp, Ryan Markham and Elijah Brown (out of sight) gather in the view as the spiffy KCS F9s stroll by the old Sewell Manufacturing Company which is a noted landmark in the city of Bremen.
