I was seeing reports for some time that the LOF67 (and LOF66 and LOF65) haulers out of GEMCO in Van Nuys CA and Guadalupe CA have been running with UP 2002, leading on the Van Nuys originating trains. Unfortunately I had no time to do a chase, but on Monday, August 5, I was able to at least spend an hour in Van Nuys and grab some shots of a LOF67 preparing to start its westbound run. Arrived to find the train on the yard lead, already all the way down to the footbridge near CP Raymer. They shoved to cross over onto Metrolink and waited for clearance. Eventually the train pulled to the signal at CP Eliker to clear, but without a signal. Figuring that was my last shot I took off.
