As the sun sets on another day in Los Angeles, another work day on the famed 4-8-4 based here, Santa Fe 3751, concludes for the steam crew of the San Bernardino Railroad Historical Society. Currently undergoing her second "1472" boiler inspection since entering excursion service in 1991, work on Santa Fe's first Northern-type locomotive is currently on track to return the engine to active service by the end of this calendar year.
A continuously growing album of photos that IMHO reveal the awesome and seldom-seen beauty of the railroad world from the dimming of day to dawn's early light! From dusk to dawn, trains roll on! (I'm still finding gems of sunset-to-sunrise surprises!)
