The electric cogwheel locomotive HGe 4/4 I # 36 with 911 kW was built in 1948 by SLM and MFO for the Furka-Oberalp-Bahn (FO) and is now running for the Matterhorn-Gotthard-Bahn (MGBahn). Since 2016 it is part of the collection of the new association MGBahn-Historic. The locomotive, also called "balcony loc", pulled the "Swiss Alpin Classic Express" (SACE) this day from Zermatt to Oberwald and will later pull the same train from Realp to Disentis. The cars of the SACE are pulled over the Furka mountain line by the diesellocomotive HGm 4/4 # 61 of the MGBahn.
