Remarks & Notes

Rock Creek Canyon Right in the gut of rugged Rock Creek Canyon on Rio Grande’s Craig Branch, an eastbound coal train exits Tunnel 45 between Crater and Volcano, Colorado, on September 8, 1992. Four Tunnel Motors are up front, with two more as a swing helper in the middle of the train, with a symbol of AINNC (Axial mine to Nixon in Colorado Springs).
