The empties head back east. Genesee & Wyoming's Providence & Worcester FPCH (Fresh Pond-Cedar Hill) has just come off of the Hell Gate Bridge into the Bronx, NY on the afternoon of Friday, July 26, 2019. Luck favored the photographer as the still P&W painted 3905 (GE B39-8) is not only leading, but cab forward with a train of empty stone cars. A nice golden sunset accentuates the scene with the New Haven Railroad catenary support and Bruckner Expressway/I-278 in the background as landmarks.
