| One stop from the end of the line. KCS 2851 sits among the old industrial tracks by the KCS office here in Tupelo, Mississippi. While not a booming town, there are enough industries left here for KCS to justify having a locomotive on assignment here to switch them and the yard. Tupelo is the last major town before the KCS Artesia Sub terminates north in Corinth, Mississippi. KCS interchanges with BNSF here in Tupelo and the NS and West Tennessee Railroad in Corinth. |
