| Cogwheel steamlocomotive HG 4/4 # 704 of the Dampfbahn Furka Bergstrecke (DFB) will pull train 157 from Realp DFB over the Furka pass to Gletsch and Oberwald. The locomotive was built by the SLM in 1923 for Indochina/Vietnam and was brought back to Switzerland in 1990 more or less as scrap. After more then 50000 men hours work by volunteers the 800 horsepower locomotive is like new and operational since last year. |
