Remarks & Notes
Switzerland has a new operational steamlocomotive since today, the little shunter "Tigerli" E 3/3 # 8485 of SBB Historic in Delémont. The locomotive was built in 1907 by the SLM Winterthur for the SBB, has about 500 HP and a maximum velocity of 45 km/h. Withdrawn by the SBB in 1963 and sold to the HOVAG in Ems/Grisons, where she ran for shunting till 1972. Since 2002 with the Historische Eisenbahn Gesellschaft (HEG) in Delémont and completely revised more or less in the appearance of the delivery by members of this association since 2006. The HEG is now (since 2014) part of SBB Historic. The # 8485 made a test run today from Delémont to Laufen and back and is now completely finished. The train is entering Laufen with cars of the HEG.
