Remarks & Notes
When it was in the other Phase III. Amtrak 704 (P32AC-DM) gained notoriety in recent years as the first of the eighteen Amtrak operated P32s to be repainted into Phase III. But on June 7, 2001, in Yonkers, NY, its as delivered paint shows what interpretation of Phase III was applied to the unit when it was new. The majority of the fleet has been repainted into the current version Phase III and had a special "Empire Service" logo applied by the shop in Beech Grove, Indiana.
