Remarks & Notes 
The original pre-Guilford Springfield Terminal Railway was a 5.4 mile ex-interurban line connecting Springfield, VT, with Charlestown, NH, and its sole locomotive for may years was brightly painted 44-Tonner #1. Here the crew sets out interchange cars for the B&M at North Charlestown, as #1 wears flags celebrating the US Bicentennial three months earlier.
