Remarks & Notes
Sitting outside the offices of the San Joaquin Valley Railroad in Bakersfield, California, is San Joaquin Valley Railroad GP38 3822. Built in November 1967 as Baltimore & Ohio 3842, this engine became CSXT 2042 when the Chessie roads and Seaboard System merged. CSX sold it to Chicago Rail Link (#306), and CRL sold it to Central Oregon & Pacific, which numbered it 3822. CORP owner Genessee & Wyoming later transferred it to the SJVR, where it was found at West Bakersfield on February 17, 2018.
