With Van Schaick Island in the foreground and the city of Cohoes in the background, Canadian Pacific’s daily Saratoga Springs, NY to Albany, NY turn heads back north, crossing the Mohawk River from Cohoes into Waterford. This is D&H trackage, and it's also worth noting that--up until the early 1970s--another D&H line would have been in this scene: the former Rensselaer and Saratoga Railroad's tracks that ran between Green Island and Waterford. Those tracks crossed from left to right just in front of the Cumberland Farms you can see in the bottom left of the frame.
