| A very late westbound California Zephyr approaches the east switch at Shafter in eastern Nevada on a lovely spring day. If I remember correctly 5 was about eleven hours late due to midwest flooding and usually would be by here in the middle of the night. After a long wet winter it was a glorious spring in the American West with green valleys and snow capped peaks. |
