| Amtrak's Pacific International Cascades: Amtrak train number 517 rolls south along Samish Bay behind SC-44 Charger locomotive on a beautiful June day. This train and its northbound evening counterpart, train number 518, run on a near identical schedule to the old Pacific International which ran from 1972 through 1981 (and earlier as Great Northern's International). |
