"Back From Refurbishment"
Metro North Kawasaki M8 pair 9310/9311 sits on Track 6 at New Haven Union shortly after being towed from Kawasaki's facility in Yonkers on the Hudson Line. 9310/9311 was one of the pairs that was involved in the May 2013 Fairfield accident where two Metro North trains, consisting of M8 railcars, sideswiped after one of the trains derailed over a piece of broken rail. The cars that received heavy damage were scrapped while pairs like this one, which suffered minor damage, were refurbished.
