| Rio Grande Scenic's La Veta Mountaineer eases its way east through the town of Fort Garland, CO on a June morning. Although most of the equipment on the train wears mismatched and rough looking paint, the variety of unique equipment is unparalleled. The San Juan mountains looming in the background still have snow on their peaks at this point in the summer. |
