10 years ago this month, I had my first submission accepted on RP. What a photographic journey it has been since then! This is the same locomotive that was in that first photo 10 years ago, ex- South African Railways class 24 2-8-4 no. 3664 "Jo-Anna". She is seen here in 2017, with Friends of the Rail volunteers using a fork lift and skip to load coal into her tender. In the background is the Pretoria Portland Cement Company plant.
Footnote - Today, 3664 has a new custodian, Wonder Steam Trains, who have taken over the Friends of the Rail operations, but some maintenance work will be required before she can run again.
