Washington Eastern Railroad, the new (late 2018) operator of the former NP/BN Central Washington Branch, sent a westbound train of empty grain hoppers from Cheney to Coulee City, Washington on Sunday, May 5. The train, which is restricted to 10 mph over the 100+ mile route, is depicted passing the elevator complex at Almira, Washington, that afternoon.
