Having arrived from the west on a mail and express train, a quartet of Penn Central E-units (two E7s and two E8s) make their way from Boston's South Station to the Dover Street yard for servicing. E7 4006, built in 1945, was one of the New York Central's first group of E-units. Note the old style number boards.
