Remarks & Notes
Amtrak’s eastbound California Zephyr is led by “Phase II heritage” P42DC No. 130 as the passenger train descends the grade at Coal Creek Canyon east of Plainview, Colorado, on the afternoon of April 14, 2019. In the background is the city of Denver 23 track-miles distant on this scenic former Rio Grande route.
