Remarks & Notes
In the dry heat of a hot spring day, within the quiet confines of the Caliente Canyon, the highly anticipated echo of dynamic braking finally comes to the canyon walls, after having waited in the baking sun for nearly 2 hours. The BNSF steel coil train was being held in Cliff siding for a parade of south bounds climbing the hill. Once the south bounds cleared, the heavy steel was on the move again and is seen here paralleling the Caliente Creek down and out of the mountains and soon into the San Joaquin valley.

The BEST locomotive ever! Oh, wait. That's the EMD F40PH. Oh well. These locomotives are everywhere and even when they are scrapped, no one cares.

What California is known for. Fires, droughts, weed, and people waving rainbow flags. Yah. Great place alright. At least the trains are nice.
