| All was not well with CNW in 1971. Ben Heineman was still running the show, but would soon dump the railroad on its employees. Fortunately, the railroad blossomed under that change and made it until 1995 (UP merger) without a bankruptcy. Neighbors MILW and Rock Island were not so fortunate. Today UP still runs trains around this 10 mph curve on the one time route of the "400". |
