Northbound empty NS 55E (Albany,GA/GFRR-Marion,IN) is coming around the curve up on the main 2 track on the outskirts of Cohutta,GA on the NS Atlanta North-End. Norfolk Southern's Wabash Heritage Unit is seen on the head as the train is making the run up Howardsville grade for the stopping point at the crew change point at Brown in Chattanooga. Once the outbound crew had board the train the empty grain train will continue north up the old Cincinnati Southern Route on it's long trek back to Marion, IN.
Coal and steel don't go bad. This album features long, slow, heavy freight trains; drag freights, slop freights, dead freights, etc. Trains with lots of power, and lots of different cargo slogging along behind.
