Remarks & Notes
UP 1967 leads the weekday local turn from Altoona to Menomonie, WI east under Jeffers Road bridge at the west end of Eau Claire after a day's work handling chores on the Twin Cities mainline. Heavy snow seems to account for the trio of power as normally two units are used. Eau Claire reported 53.7 inches of snow in February, an all time record for one month.

The EMD SD (special duty) series are a strong and reliable kind of locomotive which still serve America's rails today. They have proved themselves reliable by clocking in several million miles of freight service over several decades.
