Remarks & Notes

Back in the day, Salina - which was served by UP, MP, OKKT and ATSF - sometimes seemed like a mini-North Platte. Power from NW, SCL, CS, BN, Milw and other roads was also frequently present at UP's locomotive facility. These Milwaukee SD40-2s are headed west on UP's Kansas Pacific main with the daily (at the time) through freight.
