Remarks & Notes
Three RS-23's await their next assignment outside St. Luc's 37 stall roundhouse. The RS-23 was a Montreal Locomotive Works creation in response to CP's need for light roadswitchers, referred to as BLU's or Branch Line Units. It was powered by a 1,000 HP, 251 engine. CP acquired a total of 28 RS-23's (8019 to 8046) in 1959 and 1960.
