| Stray dogs roam all over the railroad out in the blistering cold. At the crossing guard shack they are offered some leftovers just as one of the morning trains heads out of the yard and down to the pit. I have seen the train crews offer food to the dogs in the yard where many of them call home. Before sunrise they lay curled up with each other between the tracks or alongside some of the buildings. Once the sun comes up they start roaming the landscape. |
