| "CTrail at the Hartford Switch Tower"
The sun sets on a slightly cloudy day as a southbound CTrail train cruises past the Former Hartford Switch Tower on the Amtrak Springfield Line. Also known as "SS-214" when the line was run by the New Haven Railroad, the tower originally handled the junction just north of the Hartford Railroad Tunnel where the Springfield Line & Highland Line crossed. That Interlocking has since been rebuilt and modernized into what is now "HART" Interlocking. |
