Remarks & Notes
An abandoned mill building looms over the tracks at Gardner, MA, as Maine Central GP38 260 leads a Boston & Maine GP38-2 and a B&M GP40-2 on the point of train BASE, a Bangor, ME, to Rotterdam Junction, NY, runthrough via the MEC and B&M. Much of the traffic on this train was paper from Maine mills bound for a Conrail interchange.
