| BNSF Brookfield Sub somewhat parallels the busy Transcon mainline between Galesburg and Kansas City. While the Transcon see heavy traffic levels, the Brookfield sees only a handful of miscellaneous trains each days, along with the Thomas Hill coal trains. Lucky for me 2 eastbound trains are making there way east out of Brookfield this mid-morning. The grain train in the background was staged in the siding here at Callao. With a new crew on board, they will follow follow this KC to Galesburg freight once they get by. This 8300 foot Callao siding is located 26 miles east of Brookfield. |
