Remarks & Notes
65-year-old streamliner B75 is seen shunting the Kensington flour mill siding, in suburban Melbourne. The B class were the Victorian Railways' first mainline diesels, with this particular unit entering service in 1953. Amazingly, a handful of B's are still in revenue service. B75 was withdrawn and stored in the early 90's, but was reactivated after an extensive overhaul in 2014. It is the only B in the striking livery of Consolidated Rail Leasing. You can watch a video of this shunting operation here: https://youtu.be/4kkuFkz8ogk
