Zebra Stripes Return to the Redondo Turntable. Not too far of a cry from Santa Fe's original "Zebra Stripe" paint scheme, Pacific Harbor Line's similar scheme is one that certainly looks right at home in Southern California...particularly at the ex-Santa Fe, Redondo Junction locomotive servicing facility. Now used by Amtrak, a PHL unit will occasionally find itself at the national passenger-rail carrier's maintenance area to get its wheels turned or other under-body work. On this warm, fall afternoon, PHL 20 takes a brief spin on the old turntable before being pulled back into the shops by a trackmobile.
